Now, More Than Ever, We Need to Come Together

Now, More Than Ever, We Need to Come Together

As Jews, we are taught that when our values are threatened, we must stand together for what we believe. We are taught that hatred and bigotry are intolerable. Tomorrow’s Shabbat is an opportunity to honor diversity, equality, and inclusion in the face of fear, division, and hate. Read More »

We Stand Together

We Stand Together

Along with Federations across the country and the Jewish Federations of North America, we are appalled and saddened by the violence in Charlottesville, VA this past weekend. This display of hate, bigotry, racism, xenophobia and anti-Semitism by white supremacists has no place in America. Today, there are hundreds of young people at one of our outstanding Jewish summer camps and hundreds visiting Israel for the first time as a part of our partnerships with Birthright Israel, Honeymoon Israel, Masa Israel and Onward Israel. A major focus of our engagement work locally centers on young adults in their 20s and 30s connecting them to Jewish life in ways that are as unique as they are. Read More »
